A 2.0 litre, 4-cylinder 4B11 MIVEC engine derived from the Evolution X, powers the ASX. The engine is made up of a lightweight aluminium die-cast cylinder block that works with the additional weight reduction measures of the ASX for higher fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions.
The ASX uses a version of the same platform employed on the Lancer Evolution X, Lancer EX and Outlander models. The ASX rides comfortably and competently, while offering more than sufficient responsiveness and road holding for a cross over vehicle.
